I am delighted to be part of Royal Roads University in Ras Al Khaimah.
We are building a campus focused on academic integrity,
practical learning, and meaningful student development.
My experience includes both academia and industry.
This blend shapes my perspective on higher education.
Strong academic foundations are important, but they are most
effective when combined with the ability to apply knowledge,
solve real problems, and adjust to changing work environments.
Education should be both rigorous and relevant.
At Royal Roads University, RAK, we follow the standards
and philosophy of the University in Canada while addressing
the needs of students in the region. We focus on applied learning,
critical thinking, and collaboration, making sure students
actively engage in their education instead of passively absorbing information.
Our faculty play a key role in this process.
They bring academic expertise and industry insights
to the classroom. Together, we create an environment
where students are encouraged to question, explore,
and build confidence in their abilities.
We also focus on strengthening connections beyond the university.
Engaging with industry, forming community partnerships,
and providing hands-on learning opportunities are vital
parts of our approach. These connections help students
transition from education to employment.
As Academic Dean, my main goal is to ensure academic quality,
support our faculty, and establish a space where students can thrive.
This involves maintaining high standards while creating a supportive
and inclusive learning environment.
Royal Roads University in Ras Al Khaimah is part of a larger global network.
Our students benefit from this broader perspective.
We aim for them to graduate not only with a recognized qualification,
but with the skills, mindset, and confidence to make meaningful
contributions in their chosen fields.
